Description:
One of the top ten most popular aquariums in the country, the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center features 800,000 gallons of water, more than 300 interactive exhibits, and an eight-story IMAX screen. It's located in the heart of Virginia Beach, near the Owls Creek Marsh Pavilion. The aquarium also has a group of trained staff and volunteers who work to rescue marine wildlife that gets stranded along the Virginia coast.

Open daily early Sep - late May: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; late May - early Sep: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
