Description:

Built in 1680 on the land of an indentured servant, the colonial Adam Thoroughgood House is one of the oldest of its kind in America. Today it is open to the public as a museum, residing in the Thoroughgood neighborhood of Virginia Beach, near Norfolk. The house also plays host to the city's annual medieval-themed Midsummer Celebration.

Open Tue. - Sat. 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Sun. 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; closed Mon.
